Show and tell on many items. Not technical, just background and
familiarization.
Acronyms and what they
mean and where do they come from.
* How
to get to programs.
* Sizing
and moving windows
* Mouse
Applications, exercises, size and movement speed, trails, snap-to’s.
* Choose
how your desktop appearance looks.

Partitions, directories, folder, files, mouse context (right
click) menus.
The office file cabinet equivalent.

Common threads of 90% of all programs, Microsoft File and
editing commands, toolbars,
preferences and options (general)

Internet connections, brief history and discussion of HTML and
basics including email and web based email

Basic networking, home networking, questions and answers, class
determination.
Sharing your printer and your files, security issues.
Other topics are open
to suggestion such as tune ups for the computer, backups and imaging,
selecting new machines and hardware.
Passwords and more passwords. Burning DVDs and CDs.
The classes would be about
one hour long and an added 10 min review of the day’s work at the end.
You can bring your own laptop as we will have Wi-Fi internet access but
most items will be projected on a screen.
We will have a pass around
sheet every meeting.
These are your classes, let me know in advance what you want !!!

Most of the information will
be presented on a large projector screen that is a copy of the monitor
running the programs.
There may be occasional handout outline reviews of the class for
refreshment and cyberspace bibliographies
for further research in the form of suggested websites to visit for fun
and further education.
A notebook is suggested.
Bring anyone you wish, these
are public classes and everyone is welcome.
I will send reminder emails each week and notifications of any changes
in the schedule or unforeseen cancellations (How Rude!!).
