Our guest speaker will be Mr. Ryan
Harris.
Ryan is the Program Channel Representative
for Atlantic.net and covers numerous subjects from the simple to the complex.
He will be discussing internet safety
and how to use search engines practically.
In relation to search engines,
he will explain how the logic of a search engine works when looking up
a subject that one is inquiring about.
In relation to internet safety, Ryan will also be explaining, briefly, about encryption. (A topic which will become complex quite quickly) and also point us in the direction of filtering programs that can be designed to keep pornography, hate mail, etc., off of our computers.
